The artist is using most of the art elements, he is using; line, shape, color, value and, space. I think this artworks is a modern representation of the chinese Ying-Yang symbol ment to signify good and bad in equal parts. However in this artwork the artist might be trying to show how good and bad come in unequal parts, more bad than good

Picasso used, color to create emphasis. It seems like Picasso used all the different hues and tones of blue to create emphasis in the beige color of his guitar. The beige, being surrounded by all of the blue pops out to the person looking on the painting. The color also creates a sense of unity since all of the colors, besides the guitar, are different types of blue. Picasso also implied value with is choice of blue.
